Euthanasia: May Death comes True?
By Neoconservative
IntroductionEuthanasia defines as the intentional killing by act or omission of a dependent human being for his or her alleged benefit. (The key word here is intentional. If death is not intended, it is not an act of euthanasia.) In this case, we are consider euthanasia as an act of any patient who choose to end his or her life by help from doctors, families or relatives.
There is no euthanasia unless the death is intentionally caused by what was done or not done
This is one of the most important debates relating to public policy, where the out come may affect basic ethical behavior. Legally, there are only Oregon, the Netherlands and Belgium that allow people to act according to the so-called euthanasia.
Advantages for EuthanasiaEuthanasia helps people to relieve from unbearable pain. The patient who could not hold his or her pain with none of any medical technology that is able to cure his or her pain, then they may choose death to relieve his or her pain. There was an example of a person who has an accident by falling from the building, and his brain was dead. He has got convulses every few hours and his family could not restraint their mind to see him torture. The doctor said that there is no way to heal. So, this should be an advantage for the patient to choose to go for the Euthanasia.
Euthanasia helps patients family on financial situation. The patients who come from poor family, they know that they are facing with the most terrible situation in their life and it will take their family tons of money where they can not make it in their lifetime. The patients believe that death for themselves is better than letting their family being slaves of the debts for the rest of their family lives.
Euthanasia helps patient to stop society to force them to stay alive. The patient will not get criminal charge for committed suicide, therefore the patient has right to choose whether they want to stay alive or dead. The patient also believe that there is no one has right to force him or her to stay alive with having incurable pain.
Euthanasia helps patient to made decision and remain value of life. Patient who choose euthanasia to end their life feel that the act safe their lives from being torture with pain. As their pain can not be cure, then they have choice to relieve themselves from pain. The patient will feel so much better that they will be able to get rid of these endless pain, even know that it is choice of death.
Euthanasia helps society to create point of concerns on their public policy and law. People are arguing over the issue of right or wrong, acceptable or none. The governments have to decide whether the act of euthanasia should be legalized in their country or legalized with limitation. They can also keep euthanasia illegalized or legal for only specific cases. The law must be identifying of which level of this euthanasia act that their people should do if they have to or should not do at all.
Disadvantages against EuthanasiaEuthanasia is not always the last good choice. For the patients who are terminally ill, they and their doctors are not sure whether how long they have left for living. In these kinds of cases, patients can have time up to one year until the doctor said that the patient is hopeless. In this kind of case, the medical technology may be able to help to expand the patients living period. The patient might be in the wrong place or in the right place at the wrong time. Many hospitals do not have enough skillful doctors or enough equipment, so the patient may make the wrong last decision.
Euthanasia may create burden to the poor. The more people accept euthanasia, the more poor patients may choose to end their life. The poor might not be able to afford expensive pain control treatment or suitable treatment with their limited budget. So, they might end up choosing euthanasia without the true feeling but money concern. They might feel that they are second class or low class type of people.
Euthanasia against religion believes. The act of euthanasia is against the religion, especially the Buddhists teaching. The Buddhists people believe that killing any life is a sin. Even committed suicide is considered to be sinful. So, the doctors who help their patients in anyway to reach the end of life will considered as a sinful doctor. In other religions such as catholic, the churches are against euthanasia as well.
Euthanasia is still in the stage of legal discussion. There are not many places that allow there people to end their life with help from other people. Even know that the law can not force people to stay alive, if they choose to die. However, the person who helps the patient to end their life can be charge as a criminal act. As the laws regarding euthanasia are still in the discussion stage then none of us should take any other people life. Who has the right to end other people life?
May Death come True?Euthanasia is one of the most difficult arguments in my life, which I have seen no way to end. There is no such a perfect solution to solve this kind of issue. However, from the point I stand and a person I am, I wish to against, resist, oppose and deny the act of euthanasia unless there is no such a better solution. Of course with reasons, I believe that the world is not coming to an end and there must be some way to solve the problem. I believe that unnaturally ending any life is against religion and considered to be sinful. There is no right for anyone to do anyhow to end other people life, even know that the person has chosen to die. There is no such a support in term of legal except the person who chooses to end his or her life is going to make it happen in Oregon, the Netherlands and Belgium.
I am thinking about the most terrible case where a patient is going to die in a few days and he or she has made decision to end his or her life. I will respect in their decision but I am not going to help in anyway, it is already bad to know. In the case that a patient has his brain dead and will be disability for the rest of his of her life, their family might made decision to end the patient life with so many good reasons. I will respect to their decision but I will advice their family to keep him alive for a little while as some other parts in his body might be able to safe other people life.
In the case that the patient is so much torture with aggressive pain all the time, he is going to die soon and wish to god that May death come true? I will make sure that there is not such a way left in this hopeless world where there is only me who can help him. Then the patient should has his or her wishfully death in a painless way with my cherish tear until the end.
