This is the message from my dear brother, the CU’s scholarship graduate student from US. Now he works as a full-time teacher in Chulaongkorn University.

He wrote this on 3am before he joined the PAD with his wife.

It sounds very logical.

Believe what you want to..   but think logically first…

---------------------------------------------------------------

Dearest friends,

Our Prime Minister, Mr. Samak, is right, just like he wants media to do: we also have to choose side. Being neutral is being nothing. Being nothing is being empty. Being neutral is just letting it be. Being neutral is not peace - not anymore.

For us, we want to see for ourselves before we choose. We watch news from all directions: from NBT, one extreme end, all the way to the other, ASTV. We listen, we watch, and we identify lies and truths. It is not difficult to see what's black and what's white, what's good and what's bad.

On ASTV, we see ladies, aunties, uncles, and people who could easily be our grandmothers. They are all sitting in the government house's lawn, believing in democracy and their democratic way of protest with peace. Then on public channels, we just saw Thai people wearing just different colors clashing and hitting each other. We just finished watching NBT putting on telephone interviews with several people. All they are trying to do is to figure out which side the injures are on! For the love of this country, they are all thai people getting hurt. NBT just showed one PPP's house representative marching with the red army. Why would HE want such conflicts and collisions amongst Thai people? A Deputy Minister of Transportation was also spotted in front of Likit Gaiyang restaurant backing the marching of the red army. They are inciting Thai people to crash with Thai people.

For us, we put Thai people and our beloved country in front of our own benefit. We think of a long term prosperity and stability, not a short term civil order. Last night was the end of our patience when we listened to several lies by Samak, addressed to the house of representatives and senates.

We dont know if two people would be enough to help with anything, but by the time we finish this email, we are heading out, at 3AM in the morning, to just go sit with peace in the government house. We know what we will be facing. The opposing side, mostly taxi and tuk tuk drivers, is armed and is now staging the most unthinkable. My friend's 60-year old mother, who is now sitting on the lawn, has a broom given to her to protect herself. The other side is trying to get into the government house by dawn. If they succeed, we will have the worst civil war of Thai history. If they succeed, this conflict, unlike the past coups, is no longer between soldiers and people. If they succeed, we will see the civil war right in the heart of Bangkok. Thanks to several PPP representatives who are behind this movement.

We can’t let this happen while we are sitting in a couch in front of a TV. If this will ever happen, we will be in it with our sincere loves to the country, to the democracy, and our beloved king.

IF you are our friends, please:

Listen to public TV and compare between NBT which is one extreme end while ASTV is on the other. Because of government censorship, ASTV could be watched at www.siamtv.org. While watching, identify the lies, and learn more on the truths.

The country needs you now. Every minute passing is already history.
